The
Bedrooms
All the rooms were renovated and private facilities
were installed just after we moved in, in 1998 and
we have now embarked on a cycle of redecoration. The
rooms share the names with the places that have been
important to both of us. All en-suite rooms have a
colour TV and an extensive fair trade hospitality tray.
We supply fresh milk (not UHT cartons) for tea or coffee.
Each room also has binoculars, and a guest folder that
we have prepared ourselves detailing all the different
things to do during your visit at Dunvalanree.
Room One, Kintail
Room one has been set up for category one disabled
but care has been taken to ensure it does not feel clinical
like some rooms of this sort. Category one is for unassisted
wheel chair users and our room has been inspected as
compliant by the Scottish Tourist Board/VisitScotland.
It has French doors out onto a small patio furnished
with a table and two chairs, popular with guests. It
has a double bed and an en-suite ‘walk in’ shower
room.
Room Two, Langata
Room two is a double, completely redecorated
in 2004. The en-suite bathroom has a shower over the
bath. This room enjoys a view across fields to Carradale
Bay.
Room Three, Yealand
Room three can be either a twin or a double
and was completely redecorated in 2003. The en-suite
bathroom has a shower over the bath. This room enjoys
a view across the bay at the front of the house to the
golf course and the Arran hills across the Kilbrannan
Sound.
Room Six, Bunessan
Room six is a double at the front of the house
so it too enjoys views to the golf course and the Arran
hills across the Kilbrannan Sound. It has been decorated
in a Charles Rennie Macintosh style and has an en-suite
shower room.
Room Seven, Woodcote
Room seven overlooks the bay at the front of
the house to the golf course and the Arran hills across
the Kilbrannan Sound. Redecorated in 2005, it is a double
and the bathroom has a bath with a power shower.
Rooms Eight and Nine, Achnasheen and Loch Arkaig
Rooms eight and nine look out over the back of the
house to the garden and the hill that used to be the wildlife
reserve and share a bathroom which also has a separate shower.
The beds in room eight can be converted into bunk beds and
another bed put in when there are three children in the party.
We have a cot available. These rooms are popular with guests
on a budget or single who do not wish to pay the single supplement.
